A Battle Well Fought

Early 2014, we lost a family member to cancer. Tutang had been fighting cancer for quite some time. She was diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer. She had several cycles of chemo, radiation, and an operation. Everything seemed okay. She was fine. Yet, 2 years after diagnosis, a nightmare came. The cancer had metastases to the lungs. That time, it was already at stage 4. Later as we knew it, breast cancer cells crawled to her brain. Her eyes started to cross and her body weakened. The doctor said she has a month to live. Our family had been tested through tough times, to the moon and back. We usually do not give up life battles.

Through continuous chemo cycles and radiation therapy, she lasted for almost a year. She was able to spend the last Christmas, New Year, and Birthday with her family. Life is short. Live it.

This picture was taken during our first date. Before he went to Greenbelt, nagpicture muna. LoL. I want to you guys to meet him. He is a First Line Supervisor in the same company where I'm working at. We're in different department and site though. San Sebastian College Alumnus. A Management Major. During free time, you can see him watching tv, specifically NatGeo/History/BIO, or DVD specifically CSI New York. He is a fool for Mr. Big, The God Father, and Jack Daniels Whisky. He is pikon! as in sobra. Often times, masungit. He loves to eat (as much as i do). He eats anything but he prefers italian foods. Sbarro is his favorite. He is musically inclined, well, he plays bass and guitar (bass is his instrument during the banda days, plus pogi points). A family man, very family oriented. And his cell no. is 0932... LOL. I won't give it. He's mine. Hahaha!

We've been together for 1 year 4 months and 22 days. In that span of time, we dreamt together and argue a lot. Yes, we do. Whenever I'm afraid, confused, happy, sad, problematic, and all the crazy stuffs in the world, I turn to him.He has so many plans for me and his future. It's nice to know that I am a big part of it. He never fails to consider me in every decision and he always say and make me feel that he loves me so much. Well, i love him too, damn much. I'm getting the stregth from him. We share a lot of things and we've been through a lot. I know that we will be facing more than what we are expecting but I'm positive that we can make it as long as we're together. ILOVEYOUBABE.

Unexpected Appreciation!

With my job, I'm so used in talking to other people about their problems, complaints, expectations and stuff. People who are irate, upset, frustrated or whatever would you call it is a usual thing. However, someone called in last 9th of May 2010, 10:47 PM EST and changed my way of thinking.

8255123456789012 Susan called in. She doesn't seem to be so nice over the phone, she narrated how the problem started and how was it solved. She gave us a ring to let us know that she is thankful for the service and for the people who helped her all through her bad experience with the company. She did not call because of another problem nor to complain but rather to let us know that our job is appreciated. What a customer! I was so touched and it was the warmest thank you from a customer. It made my day. I realized that work is not just about the upset people calling us, someone out there appreciates the thing that we do. Love it. She made me realized that i should be thankful with the help that i am receiving from other people, no matter how small it is, it is an effort from someone, it is not insignificant.
